About Us

The Deringtons come from diverse backgrounds. Nick spent the vast majority of his life in the US, moving only a few times throughout the Midwest and East coast. Traci has spent nearly half of her life abroad, including the first nine years of her life. While in the US, her family moved frequently, and as an adult, she maintained the rather transient life-style.

Fate had it that the two would meet while gearing up to head abroad. Nick and Traci shared less than two weeks together before they each left the US–Nick for eleven months of travel around the world, and Traci for several months in Africa and Europe.

After seven months of dating from a distance, they crossed paths for a week in Swaziland, Africa, where Nick proposed. Following that, Nick continued on his ministry throughout the world, while Traci remained in Swaziland to continue her work.

They reunited in the US on November 23rd, 2009 and were wed later that month–after spending less than one month total together.

Their courtship was just short of crazy, but that is a life of abandon and faith in the Lord.

While their love for their Creator takes precedence, their earthly passions include photography, music, and fine foods–self-labeled epicures.
